What is Working mode of the operating system

The type of operating system

           Depending on the operating system of the user count is divided into two parts: -

1) Single user: -

Single-user operating system, the operating system in which only one user at a time can work.

2) Multi-user : -

The operating system in which multiple users can work at the same time.

Depending on the mode of working it is divided into two parts

1) Character User Interface: -

          The user gives the system command as a series of character with the character information by When the user gives the system the operating system user interface adds character. Example - DOS, Unix. 2) Graphical User Interface: -
            When the user interacts with pictures of computer If the graphical user interface (GUI) is called. Example - Windows.

Working mode of the operating system

Most processors. Work in two modes -

1) User Mode
2) kernel mode

             Kernel mode of operation provides all the instructions. Security of the Sight-user mode of operation provides some guidelines. Typically programs are operating in user mode. Operate on operating system kernel mode.
